Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Archive: Document Scanner ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Archive: Document Scanner, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Archive: Document Scanner. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
3. Description of Service
Archive: Document Scanner is a mobile application that allows users to scan, store, secure, and export documents. The App requires iOS 18 or later. All features are free and include:
- Document scanning with automatic edge detection
- Multi-page document support
- Per-document biometric protection (Face ID/Touch ID)
- PDF export and sharing
- Local-only storage using SwiftData
4. User Accounts
Archive: Document Scanner does not require any account creation, login, or authentication. The App operates entirely on your device with no user accounts.
5. Pricing
Archive: Document Scanner is free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or premium features. All functionality is available at no cost.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Archive: Document Scanner to:
- Scan or store illegal content
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to circumvent any security features of the App
- Use the App for fraudulent purposes
- Store content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
7. Third-Party Services
Archive: Document Scanner does not use any third-party services for its core functionality. All document storage and processing occurs locally on your device using native Apple frameworks:
- VisionKit - for document scanning
- SwiftData - for local data storage
- PDFKit - for PDF generation
- LocalAuthentication - for Face ID/Touch ID
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Crafter Apps and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the documents you scan and store within the App.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crafter Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. End User License Agreement (EULA)
This End User License Agreement is a binding agreement between you and Crafter Apps for the use of Archive: Document Scanner. By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
- License Grant: Crafter Apps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service.
- Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code.
- Updates: The App may be updated from time to time. Updates may be required for continued use of the App.
15. Apple App Store Terms
The following terms apply to your use of the App through the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Crafter Apps, not Apple. Crafter Apps is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. Crafter Apps is solely responsible for any claims relating to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any intellectual property infringement claim.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
16. Your Data Rights
All your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete any document at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all stored documents. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
